Buddy(papa) & Bailey | Julie Carlisle-Kane & Tim Kane, D.C. both grew up in Dubuque, 50 miles southeast of Elkader. This project was Julie's brainchild after she retired from a family business in Dubuque. Renovating historic structures has become the latest of her many life passions. The historic First National Bank Building on Main Street where Tim's chiropractic office is located, is another project of hers in the works. The Elkader landing and settling has been an absolute blessing for the two of them. Elkader is just one of those towns that you can not quite put a finger on to what exactly it is that you love about it. It must have to do with a combination of the natural charm of northeast Iowa along with the friendliness & sincerity of the people. ____________________________________ Below are shots of Julie's other Elkader project, the old First National Bank Building on Main Street. It is the home to three local businesses including Tim's chiropractic office, The Chiropractic Advantage Clinic.
